1. Have an internationally recognised record of achievement in a profession, a sport, the arts or academia and research.
2. Your achievements are currently prominent in your field.
3. Your contribution is of benefit to the Australian community.
4. You must be able to find work in your field in Australia.
5. You must be in good health and have no criminal record.
6. You must have functional English (IELTS 4.5 or equivalent score in PTE or other English language tests.
7. If you are under 18 years old or you are aged 55 years or older when you apply, you must be of exceptional benefit to the Australian community.
8. You can be in or outside Australia when you apply for this visa, but you must be outside Australia when your visa is granted.
 
Nominator:
1. Your nominator for this visa must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, eligible New Zealand citizen or an Australian organisation with a national reputation in the same field as you.
