Suitable for
1. Have a suitable skills assessment for an occupation which must be on the relevant list of eligible skilled occupations set by a State or Territory.
2. Have at least competent English.
3. Have studied or worked in regional Australia. 
4. Have relevant working experience in the nominated occupation on lists for jobs in demand.

 

Introduce

The Skilled Work Regional subclass 491 visa is a temporary visa for skilled workers who want to live and work in regional Australia. You can apply for permanent residence after 3 years from the time your visa is granted.


Condition

1. You must be aged under 45.
2. You must be able to score 65 points or more in your EOI (You’ll obtain 5 points if you are nominated by an Australian state or territory government agency).
3. You must have been nominated by an Australian state or territory government agency and have received an invitation to apply for this visa.
4. You must have at least 6 for each of the four components in an IELTS test or equivalent score in any specified English language test which has been taken not more than 3 years before the date of application.
5. You must have a suitable skills assessment.
6. You must be in good health and have no criminal record.
